Quantum Lab

Something that is quantized exists in multiples of a set quantity. For example, all charges are a multiple of the fundamental charge (1.6 x 10^-19 C). Planck and Einstein predicted that light exists as discrete bundles called photons. Since those scientists could not observe a single unit of photon energy, they indirectly calculated the value. This lab constructs a model of how the quantum energies of photons was derived through indirect measurement and analysis using a balance, pennies, and film canisters.
