Each set consists of a motor, AA battery holder, battery, and string. Attached to the motor is an off-centered mass that generates a vibration when the motor is activated. When hung from the string, a clear standing wave appears! Students simply adjust the length of the string to obtain the standing wave and to change the number of wavelengths.
